# Cross-chain messaging

Cross-chain messaging refers to the process of transferring information and data between different blockchain networks. For EMC Chain (as the mainnet), cross-chain messaging will provide interoperability and communication capabilities for its future Layer 2 solutions and other blockchain projects. 

This guide will detail how to implement cross-chain messaging on the EMC chain and provide sample code and configuration.
