Minimum Requirements for Mac Machines
As a recommendation, uers should ensure their hardware meets the requirements:
Operating System: Mac OS 10.12 or above
Processor: Minimum - Apple M1 or higher
Memory: Minimum 8GB
Graphics Card: Minimum - Apple M1 or higher
Storage: At least 20GB of available space
1. Visit EMC Testnet
EMC Testnet:https://earn.emc.network/
Connect Wallet

Click on "Connect" as shown in the image.

Select your preferred installed wallet from the left side of the pop-up window. Next, in the wallet plugin interface, complete the steps in the wallet Chrome extension: "Connect" -> "Authorize" -> "Sign".
Note: During the wallet connection process, follow the prompt to switch to the EMC Testnet network (Visit EMC Testnet RPC Information).

Once connected, you can view your points and use an invitation code to invite friends.
2. Install and Operate EMC Client
Download EMC Client for Mac OS

Click the "Install" button, select "Mac OS" from the list, Download and install the EMC client.
Local Installation of EMC Client
Unzip the EMC client installation package. Open EMC application.

If you see the notification box shown above the image, please proceed to "System Preferences."
#1 Initial Releases of Mac OS
Open System Preferences -> Security & Privacy, and check "Anywhere".

#2 Mac OS latest version
If there is no "Anywhere" option in the privacy & security interface.
The following command line needs to be executed:
$ sudo spctl --master-disable
After Command execution is completed, restart the computer. The "Anywhere" option should now be available.
If the application still does not respond, you need to drag the EMC client program to the Applications folder to give it the necessary permissions.Open the Mac Terminal and enter the following command line:
xattr -cr /Applications/EMC.app
Open the EMC client program.

Enter the wallet private key and the invitation code (optional) to log into the EMC client, as shown in the above image.
EMC Client Mining Operations
The EMC testnet currently only supports NVIDIA and AMD GPUs for mining. Therefore, Mac OS users can only use the AI CPU mining mode.
CPU Mining Mode
Initial Setup for CPU Mining
The EMC Client interface defaults to CPU mode, as shown in the following image.

EMC Client will automatically detect the local CPU core hardware resources, complete initialization, and node connection status. The image above indicates successful initialization and node connection.
Note:Ensure sufficient gas fee before CPU mining(Visit The Gas Fee Collection Section);Otherwise, an error message "Insufficient Gas fee" will appear.
EMC Client CPU Mining
After claiming the gas fees, return to the EMC client to start CPU mining.

EMC clients usually perform CPU mining automatically. The client must stay running to manage the calculation and distribution of mining rewards.

3. Claim Gas fees from the Community
EMC provides gas fee distribution through Telegram and Discord communities. Users can claim gas fees once per day.

Enter the 🔐|emc-testnet sub-channel in the Facuet category, send your registered wallet address to claim the gas fee.
